KNEC TRAINING FOR KJSEA EXAMINERS
The Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) has announced training sessions for examiners of the upcoming Kenya Junior School Education Assessment (KJSEA), scheduled for March and April 2025.
Eligibility Criteria:
To qualify for the examiner training, applicants must:
- Be practicing teachers or tutors in the relevant subject areas at the examination level or higher.
- Be registered and/or employed by the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) or Public Service Commission.
- Hold at least a Diploma in Education.
- Have a minimum of three years of teaching experience.
- Not be under any form of interdiction or disciplinary action from TSC or their employer.
- Be recommended by their head of institution.
- Be 50 years of age or below.
- Tutors from Teachers Training Colleges and TVET institutions are encouraged to apply, especially for Home Science.
Application Procedure:
Interested and qualified teachers are invited to apply by:
1. Accessing the KNEC examiners portal at [https://examinersapp.knec.ac.ke](https://examinersapp.knec.ac.ke).
2. Logging in using existing CP2 account credentials or creating a new account if not already registered.
3. Completing their personal profile and saving the information.
4. On the dashboard, clicking on "Apply for Training" to view and select from the available vacancies.
Only qualified teachers who have submitted all the required documents will be shortlisted on a first-come, first-served basis.
Training Details:
- The training fee is Ksh 10,500, payable only by shortlisted applicants. Payment instructions will be communicated via SMS and through the application portal.
- The training will commence online, followed by a residential in-person session at a venue to be announced later. Shortlisted trainees will receive guidance on accessing online training materials.
- Upon successful completion, trained examiners will be engaged by KNEC to mark KJSEA assessments, with selection based on personnel needs for each paper.
